Cyndra Lynn "Cyndy" (Wiseman) Roberts

Cyndra Lynn "Cyndy" Roberts, 66, Vinton, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. Born February 29, 1956 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Cyndy was the daughter of the late John C. Wiseman and Evelyn L. Rizer Gooch. She married Gregory B. "Oral" Roberts November 15, 1974 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia and he preceded her in death May 9, 2015.

Cyndy was a 1974 Graduate of Point Pleasant High School. She received her Masters of Education from the University of Rio Grande in 2005. She was currently a teacher and intervention specialist, employed by Ross-Pike ESC, Home School of Zane Trace. Cyndy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially watching her girls play sports. She was a 4-H advisor for many years, working with the youth of Gallia County. Cyndy, along with her husband, Greg, were owner/operators of Vinton Tire and The Vinton General Store. She was an active supporter of the Jackson Volleyball Club and River Valley Athletics.

To this union were born their daughters: Jessica (Brian) Crouse, Ewington, Ohio; Ashly (James) Dawson, Vinton, Ohio and Kaitlyn Roberts, Ewington and grandchildren: Tristen and Layne Crouse, Patrick and Brianna Dawson. Also surviving are brother, Jay (Karen Chamberlain) Wiseman; sisters: Teresa Harper, Chilta Stanley and Lee Ann Clark and sisters-in-law: Lynn Roberts, Ann (Louie) Bush and close friend, Leslie Smith Wiseman, as well as several nieces and nephews and numerous special kids.

In addition to her parents, stepparent and husband, she was preceded by brother, Jonathan Wiseman; sister, Paula Spiewak and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dwitt and Mildred McCarley Roberts.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday April 6, 2022 in the Vinton Baptist Church, 11818 State Route 160, Vinton, Ohio with Pastor Carl Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the church Tuesday 5:00- 8:00 PM.
