David D. "Hook" Roush, 60, Bidwell, Ohio, went to be with the Lord peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, October 8, 2004 following a brief illness. He was a self employed Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of the Local Operating Engineers 18, Columbus, Ohio. Other memberships include: Porter United Methodist Church, Vinton F&AM Lodge 131, 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite, Aladdin Temple Valley of Columbus Shrine, and the Gallipolis Shrine Club.
David was born on February 23, 1944 at Bidwell, Ohio, son of Arlene Roush Tracy, Rio Grande, Ohio, and the late Wendell "Red" Roush.
In addition to his mother, Arlene and stepfather, Rev. Luther Tracy, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Wendell Scott and Megan Roush, Coalton, Ohio and David William and Cathy Roush, Bidwell, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jessica Dawn and Alison Marie Roush, Bidwell, Ohio; three step-grandchildren: Natalie, Chase, and Sommer, Coalton, Ohio; sister, Barbara and the late Jim Frownfelter, Hurst, Texas; three nieces, Marcy, Terri, Kim; wife of thirty-two years, Karen Fruth Roush, Bidwell, Ohio and special friend, John Paul Holley, Rodney, Ohio.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Jessica Lynn and Angela Dawn Roush.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Rev. Heath Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, 6:00-8:00 PM. Masonic Rites will be conducted Monday at 7:45 PM by Vinton Masonic Lodge 131.
