David "Dave" Lincoln Rees
January 3, 1928 — October 31, 2015
David "Dave" Lincoln Rees, 87, Gallipolis, Ohio and formerly of Rio Grande, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 3, 1928 in the Cora Community, son of the late Spurgeon and Fern Stevens Rees. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosena Wiseman Rees; brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Wilma Rees and a daughter-in-law, Connie Rees.
David was a self-employed truck driver and a former owner-operator of the Sohio Service Station in Rio Grande. He was an U.S. Army Veteran and a former member of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling and camping.
David is survived by wife, Betty Jones Rees and four sons: David (Sharon) Rees, Gallipolis; Dwane Rees, Dean (Amee) Rees and Dwight (Christi) Rees, all of Rio Grande; ten grandchildren: David Rees, Danny Rees, Jeremy Wolfe, Amber Oliver, Doug Rees, Kelly Maynard Olivia Rees, Lillian Rees, Amy Toler, Abby Saunders and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Pastor Mel Mock officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Rio Grande. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 4:00–7:00 PM.
