David A. Reed, 70, Wellston, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Holzer Medical Center, Jackson. He was born September 14, 1938 in Wellston, Ohio son of the late Arthur and Esther Williams Reed.
A U.S. Army Veteran, he attended the World Outreach Ministries in Wellston. David loved walking, gardening, and the outdoors.
He married Beulah Mays on March 26, 1970 in Ewington, Ohio, and she survives with two sons: David (Darlene) Reed, Lancaster, Ohio and John (Kelly) Reed, Columbus, Ohio; two daughters: Esther (John) Hart and Nikki Reed, both of Wellston; grandchildren: Jessi, Andrew, Nick, and Kirsten Reed and Lia and Brooklyn Hart; Aunt and Uncle Lee and Louise Arnold, Wellston.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday November 24, 2008 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, 208 Main St, Vinton with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Burial will follow at Vinton Memorial Park, with a flag presentation conducted by the Gallia County Veteran Service Organizations. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 4:00-6:00 PM.
