David Mitchell Ward

David Mitchell Ward, 81, Vinton, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 19, 2006 at Holzer Senior Care, Bidwell. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He was born on May 4, 1925 in Vinton, son of the late Emmet Ward and Ermel (Lloyd) Ward.
He is survived by two sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Stevens, Vinton, with whom he made his home for many years and Shelba J. (William) Wood of Gahanna; three nieces and a nephew: Ann Wells, Vinton; Jan Demosky, Albany, Ohio; William Allen (Annette) Wood, Gahanna, Ohio and Judy (Howie) Basore, Grove City, Ohio;
several great and great-great-nephews and neices and friends.
In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Ward who was fatally wounded in WW II, and brother-in-law, John Stevens.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 22, 2006 at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. Burial will follow at Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday 5:00-8:00 PM.
