Dennis Alvin Mitchell, Jr.

Dennis Alvin "Turkle" Mitchell, Jr., 46, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, following a lengthy illness. He was born November 27, 1974 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Kathern Howell (Thomas) Westbrook, Gallipolis and the late Dennis Alvin Mitchell, Sr. Turkle was a member of Paint Creek Baptist Church, Gallipolis, Ohio.

Those surviving in addition to his mother and stepfather are wife, Carman Mayo Mitchell and son, Khalil Peck; brother, Dwight Mitchell; sister, Meche Ragland; niece, Christina Mitchell; great-nephew, Zander Mitchell; step brothers and sister: Mike Westbrook, Gary Carpenter and Michelle Carpenter; special friend, Angie Gordon; mother-in-law, Vada Mayo; special aunt, Ramona Mitchell; special cousins, Shannon Johnson, Kyra Johnson-Williams, Melissa Garnes-White and a host of extended family members and friends.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2020 in Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio. There will be no visitation at the request of the family.
