Devan Glenn Lawson, 19, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away, Monday, August 4, 2025, in Elkview, West Virginia, as a result of a car crash. Devan was born November 22, 2005, in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Justin Lawson, Gallipolis and Mary (Jay Neal) Cole, Ravenswood, West Virginia. He was an employed by Orders Construction, St. Albans, West Virginia, and a member of The United Steelworkers Local #14614, Nitro, West Virginia.
Devan will be dearly missed by his parents as well as his brothers and sister: Justin Lewis Lawson, Finley Miles and Arianna Lynn Lawson, all of Gallipolis; step-siblings: Jacob Neal and Lexi Neal, both of Ravenswood; paternal grandparents, Glenn and Carol Lawson, Bidwell, Ohio; maternal grandfather and "Nanny", William and Leann Cole, Vinton, Ohio; paternal great-grandmother, Rose Lawson, Bidwell and maternal great-grandmother, Marcella Cole, Ravenswood; paternal great-grandparents, Henry and Shirley Gibbs, Bidwell as well as several aunts, uncles and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Ronda Caldwell, maternal great-grandfather, William Howard Cole and paternal great-grandfather, Glenn L. Lawson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Carl Ward officiate. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends and family may call at the funeral home 5:00-8:00 PM, Monday, August 11, 2025.
