Don C. Lawson

Don C. Lawson, 92, Pleasantville, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Norma, Tennessee on December 11, 1933, to the late Mike and Florence (Jeffers) Lawson. Don married Evalou (Marcum) Lawson on June 29, 1957, who preceded him in death on October 30, 2022. He was a member of Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church in Merengo, Ohio.

Those left to cherish his memory are their children, Dianne (Lee) Lawson, Rockwood, Tennessee, Rick (Dianna) Lawson, Carroll, Ohio, Pamela (Paul) Shaeffer, Brian (Lori) Lawson, Shawn (Vickie) Lawson and Kimberly (Patrick) Thompson, all of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Ada (Berkey) Marcum, Oneida, Tenn.; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Houck, grandson, Dustin Shaeffer, one sister and four brothers.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday July 15, 2026, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Brothers of the Old Regular Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Marcum Family Cemetery, Vinton Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m..
