Donald Ray George
April 12, 1948 — July 9, 2006
Donald Ray George, 58, Bidwell went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 9, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center. He was a Veteran of the US Army Reserves, and had retired fom the Continental Mill Grain Company of Columbus in 1985. Don was born on April 12, 1948 in Vinton, son of the late Victor "Tuck" George and Viola Wilt George.
He married Margaret Conn August 3, 1972 and she survives with two daughters: Jennifer (Tim) Logue, Bidwell, Ohio and Amber (Eric) Carpenter, Vinton, Ohio; one grandson, Mason Stone Logue; three brothers and one sister: John (Mildred) George, Tampa, Floridal Victor (Mary) George, Vinton, Ohio; Paul (Mildred) George, Grove City, Ohio and Sharon (Lecides) Maldonado, Gallipolis, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Twila LeMaster.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating. Burial will follow at Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Tuesday 5:00-9:00 PM.
