Edith L. Thompson Boston, 91, Bidwell passed away April 19, 2004 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. She was born October 9, 1912 in Ronda, West Virginia, daughter of the late Clarence and Norma Wilson Bickers. She was a homemaker and attended Springfield Baptist Church, Bidwell, Ohio.

She is survived by two sons: John W. (June) Thompson, Indianapolis, Indiana and Clarence (Judy) Thompson, Pataskala, Ohio; four daughters: Wanda (Oscar) Hager, Grove City, Ohio; Frances (Joe) Dobbins, Bidwell, Ohio; Nancy (David Sr.) Dobbins, Bidwell, Ohio and Katherine (Henry) Maynard, Bidwell, Ohio; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; two stepsons, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Faye Sayre, Cleveland, Ohio and Gertrude Nelson, Ohio and sister-in-law, Helen Bickers, Rio Grande, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Henry Thompson, who passed away in 1959; her second husband, William Boston, who passed away in 1983; and three brothers: Benson Bickers, Melvin Bickers and Clarence Bickers Jr.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday April 23, 2004 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis with Pastor Isaac Shupe officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, April 22, 2004 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
