Edna Lois (Luman) Rodgers

Edna Lois Rodgers, 98, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 in the Holzer Assisted Living Facility, Gallipolis, Ohio. Born March 17, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dora (Null) Luman. Edna was employed at Gallipolis Developmental Center for over twenty-two years before her retirement. She married James Mills Rodgers II who preceded her in death.

To this union were born their children: Frederick (Cathy) Rodgers, Wilmington, North Carolina; Lois Snyder, Gallipolis; Marsha Rohrs, Colfax, North Carolina and Nancy (Bob) Crowell, Marion, Ohio; grandchildren: Melissa Wooten, Virginia Beach, Virginia; John (Catherine) Snyder, Bidwell, Ohio; Elizabeth Smith, Colfax, North Carolina; James (Charity) Pauley, Indian Land, South Carolina; Dr. Kara Denny, Brooklyn, New York and Jordan Rodgers, Fredericksburg, Virginia; step-grandchildren, Jenny Crowell, Columbus, Ohio and Max Crowell, Deland, Florida.

Also surviving are great-grandchildren: Derek (Lydia) Wooten, Tyler Wooten, Ryan Snyder, Jacob Snyder and Lilly Snyder, Alexis Smith, Kanessa (Josh) Jackson, Jacob Snyder, MacKenzie Smith and Olivia Pauley; step-great-grandchildren: Cameron Crowell, Ryan Crowell, Brandon Crowell and Bryce Brookins; great-great grandchildren: Lucas Wooten, Bella and Ellie Jackson and step-great-great-grandchild, Carson Crowell.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by son, James Mills Rodgers III, eight brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, June 12, 2022 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Jane Ann Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Tyn Rhos Cemetery, Rio Grande, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
