Edna (Chasteen) Pinnell

Edna Chasteen Pinnell, 86, Weirton, West Virginia (formerly of Middleport and Vinton, Ohio) passed away Monday, March 28, 2005 in the Brightwood Care Center, Follansbee, West Virginia. She was born May 30, 1918 in Corbin, West Virginia, daughter of the late Noah and Mattie Gadd Chasteen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Holard Pinnell, January 10, 1994; a daughter, Brenda Pinnell; a great granddaughter; four brothers and two sisters.
Edna is survived by five children: Howard E. Pinnell, Weirton, West Virginia; Jimmy L. Pinnell, Toronto, Ohio; Robert A. (Vickie) Pinnell, Toronto, Ohio; Shirley Roush, Wichita, Kansas and Linda E. (Tom) McCarthy, Havelock, North Carolina; twenty-one grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and one sister: Dolores Straka, Toronto, Ohio. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 128, Middleport.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, with Pastor Jim Keesee officiating. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Wednesday 4:00-7:00 PM.
