Elbert "Bud" Block Jr., 64, Vinton, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born August 23, 1951 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Mary Marcum Block of Bidwell, Ohio and the late Elbert Block Sr. He was a member of New Beginnings Revival Center, Bidwell, Ohio.
Also surviving are his wife, Anna Block, Vinton, Ohio and children: Robert "Bobby" Ritchie, Columbus, Ohio; Tina L. Ritchie, Columbus, Ohio; Mary Ellen Block Wilson, Bidwell, Ohio; Elbert "B.J." Block, Bidwell, Ohio; Shellie Hannah, Heath, Ohio and Joseph Hannah, Bidwell, Ohio; grandchildren: Trevor, Shane, Hatley, Vinny, Meadow, Lee, Jacob, Joshua, Joseph, Matt, Mandy, Josh and Zachery; great-grandchildren: Thomas Austin and Vincent Leo; and brother, Terry (Tammy) Block, Vinton, Ohio. Other survivors are several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his father, Bud was preceded in death by two sisters, Angie Bailey and Linda Mae Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 18, 2015 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Rocky Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow at the Pendleton-Marcum Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
