Elbert Block, Sr.

Elbert Block Sr., 80, Bidwell, Ohio (formerly of Zephyr Hills, Florida) passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007 in the Scenic Hills Nursing Facility. He was born December 5, 1926 at Hetzel, West Virginia, son of the late Delbert and Elizabeth Muncey. He retired from the WW Trucking Company, Dover, Florida in 1984.
Elbert married Mary Ethel Marcum November 3, 1944 in Logan West Virginia and she survives with four children: Angie (Buster) Bailey, Zephyr Hills, Florida;
Linda (Rick) Campbell, Bidwell, Ohio; Elbert Jr. (Anna) Block, Bidwell, Ohio and Terry (Tammy) Block, Vinton, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded by mother-in-law and father-in-law, Hollie and Lola Marcum, three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday in the Harvest Time Worship Center, 222 Main Street, Vinton with Rev. David Adams officating. Burial will be in the Marcum Pendleton Cemetery near Vinton with Graveside Rites by the Vinton American Legion Post 161. Friends may call at the Harvest Time Worship Center Sunday after 2:00 PM.
