Eleanor Louise (Flessa) Owens

Eleanor Louise Flessa Owens, 92, Rio Grande, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in her residence. She was born February 12, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Herbert Luther and Eleanor (Vockell) Flessa. She married Anderson Duguid Owens June 21, 1947 at Cincinnati, who survives. She was a member of Westwood First Presbyterian Church, Cincinnati; Western Hills Women's Book Club, Cincinnati and Westwood Women's Club, Cincinnati, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband and children: David Anderson (Joan) Owens, Batavia, Ohio; Daniel Herbert (June) Owens, Cincinnati and Michael Jonathan (Laurel Kirkhart) Owens, Thurman, Ohio; grandchildren: Kristine (Jeff) Durand, Batavia, Ohio and Kathy (Eric) Sintz, both of Batavia; Joshua Owens, Cincinnati; Grace Owens, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Jasmine Owens, Portland, Maine and Micaela Owens, Erie, Pennsylvania and great-grandchildren: Jack, Allyson and Wyatt Durand and Parker and Paxton Sintz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Herbert Flessa.
Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Westwood First Presbyterian Church, 3011 Harrison Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. The family will receive friends 1:00-3:00 PM the day of services. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, is honored to serve the Owens Family.
