Elizabeth "Betty" Jean (Fitzpatrick) Ponn

Elizabeth Jean "Betty" Ponn, 78, Vinton, Ohio (Wilkesville Community), passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2005 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Betty was a retired Post Master, Wilkesville, having twenty seven years service; a member of the Wilkesville Order of Eastern Star 444, the American Legion 476 Auxiliary, and the Wilkesville Pythian Sisters.
She was born May 28, 1926 in Marion, Ohio, daughter of the late Edward Fitzpatrick and Margaret Bishop Fitzpatrick. She married Clair Ponn, July 23, 1948, in Wilkesville and he survives with two sons: Roger Ponn, Las Vegas, Nevada and Randall Ponn, Wilkesville, Ohio and two grandsons, Clayton and Roy.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 12, 2005 in the Geer Cemetery off Ponn Bridge Rd, Vinton County. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Friday, 5:00-7:00 PM.
