Eric Shawn Blackburn

Eric S. Blackburn, 45, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 8, 1970 in Gallipolis, son of Sandra Miller (Harold) Gibson, Huntington, West Virginia and the late Ranny Blackburn. He was a 1988 graduate of Gallia Academy High School.
In addition to his mother, Eric is survived by three children: Erica (Adam) Massie, Courtney Blackburn and Tyler Blackburn, all of Gallipolis; three grandchildren: Payton and Wyatt Massie and Nova Blackburn; two sisters: Lisa (Jeff) Moles, Cheshire, Ohio and Cristina (Tom) York, Kitts Hill, Ohio; maternal grandmother, Lillian Nibert, Gallipolis; one niece, Lexi Moles and two nephews, Brody Moles and Reece York.
Eric was preceded in death by his father and paternal grandparents, Randy and Lena Blackburn and his maternal grandfather, Paul Nibert.
Funeral services are to be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, October 9, 2015 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Friday 11:00 AM to the time of service.
