Esta Mae (Sprouse) Downard

Esta Mae Downard, 94, of Vinton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Jenkins Care Center, Wellston, Ohio. Esta was born to the late Harmon and Jemima (Zinn) Sprouse October 23, 1931, in Gallia County, Ohio. She married John Downard, who precedes her in death.

Esta is survived by a grandson, Nakuma (Terrian) Roberts and great-grandchildren: Cierra Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Brystol Roberts, Baylee Lamb and Blaize Graham and one great-great-grandchild, Apollo Roberts.

Also surviving are a brother, Lewis (Loretta) Sprouse and daughter-in-law Joella Roberts and her daughters, Missy (Bill) Triplett and Tyffany (Steve) Davis as well as several other extended family members and many friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by a daughter, Linda Roberts and son, Jerry Roberts.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in the Franklin Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. No visitation will be held. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, is honored to serve the Downard Family.
