Esther V. Fink, 91, Porter-Vinton Community, passed away Saturday in Holzer Senior Care, Bidwell, Ohio. She was a homemaker, an associate member of UMWA, and had attended the Ewington Church of Christ in Christian Union. Esther's hobbies included a collection of dolls, crocheting, and quilting.
She was born December 28, 1918 in Landishburg, West Virginia, daughter of the late John Kyle King and Tola Ann Aldridge King. She married Oscar Fink on September 7, 1940 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky and he preceded her in death September 10, 1977. Also preceding her in death was her only son, Robert Oscar "Bob" Fink on February 17, 2009; one brother and three sisters: Charles King, Jean Tolley, Mildred Pitzer and Josephine Neff.
Esther is survived by a beloved grandson, Robert Andrew Fink and his mother, Betty Fink, Vinton, Ohio. Also surviving are a brother and two sisters: Beauford King, Rainelle, West Virginia, Cora Lee Proud, Lewisburg, West Virginia, and Alice Tolley, Danese, West Virginia.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday June 16, 2010 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 208 Main St, Vinton, Ohio 45686. Family and friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home Wednesday, 4:00-7:00 PM until the Funeral Service Hour. Visitation will be held at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, 213 Main St, Rainelle, West Virginia Thursday 10:00-12:00 PM followed by Graveside service at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, West Virginia.
