Eunice Evelyn (Davis) Saunders

Eunice Evelyn Saunders, 86, Crab Orchard, West Virginia and formerly of Vinton, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Bowers Hospice in Beckley, West Virginia.  She was born November 17, 1929 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Wesley Davis and Florence Davis. Before retiring she worked 32 plus years for Buckeye Community Services in Jackson, Ohio.  She cared for many children with special needs.  She was a member of Vinton Baptist Church for many years before moving to Beckley, West Virginia where she attended Sovereign Grace Chapel of Crow.

Left to cherish her memory are her children:  Paul, Jr. of Ohio, Stanley of Ohio, Jack of Florida, Sandy of West Virginia, Randy of Massachusetts, John of Florida, Jesse of Virginia, Jay of Ohio, Joe of West Virginia, Sally of North Carolina and Sam of North Carolina; one sister, Betty of Florida; 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; sons, Bo and Tim; daughter, Katie; a very special sister, Lilly and several brother and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Mac Hatfield and Rev. Marvin Sallee officiating.  Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.  Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to time of service.
