Evalou (Marcum) Lawson

EvaLou Lawson, 86, Pleasantville, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 in Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Born June 28, 1936 at Williamson, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Sammy and Julia (Runyon) Marcum. She was a member of Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church, Marengo, Ohio. EvaLou married Don C. Lawson June 29, 1957 in Vinton, Ohio, and he survives.

To this union were born surviving children: Dianne (Lee) Lawson, Rockwood, Tennessee; Pam (Paul) Shaeffer, Lancaster, Ohio; Kim (Pat) Thompson, Lancaster, Ohio; Rick (Diana) Lawson, Carroll, Ohio; Brian (Lori) Lawson, Lancaster, Ohio and Shawn (Vickie) Lawson, Lancaster, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, EvaLou was preceded in death by daughter, Sandy Houck, grandson, Dustin Shaeffer, seven sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, November 4, 2022 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. Burial will follow in the Marcum Family Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Thursday 3:00-6:00 PM.
