Everett Ray McDaniel, 77, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away at his home Friday, October 8, 2021 following a lengthy illness. He was born August 6, 1944 in Mason County, West Virginia, son of the late Morgan (Carol) McDaniel and Helen (Lewis) Byus Woodall, all preceding him in death.

Ray was retired from Mountaineer Power Plant and the former owner/operator of Christie Ann Restaurant, Gallipolis. He was a member of First Church of God, Gallipolis, Ohio.

He leaves behind his wife of forty-four years, Patricia Brown McDaniel, Gallipolis, who he married October 10, 1977 in Rodney, Ohio and a son, Richard (Robyn) Erwin, Gallipolis; grandchildren: Mackenzie (Michael Beard) Erwin, Athens, Ohio and Hunter Erwin, Gallipolis; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Nora and Riley Beard, Athens; brothers, Kenneth McDaniel and Jeff (Mary) Woodall, both of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia and sisters: Wanda O'Dell, Kathy (Tom) Thompson, Patty McDaniel, all of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia and Linda (Dave) Hall, Teays Valley, West Virginia; special friend, Jack (Kay) Quimby, special fur baby, Smokie and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in the Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio with Pastor Paul Voss officiate. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home is honored to serve the McDaniel Family.
