Floyd Edgar Newsome

Floyd Edgar Newsome, 67, Vinton, Ohio passed away at his residence March 13, 2021. A retired mine worker, Floyd was born October 17, 1953 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Golden and Edith (nee Marcum) Newsome.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Pamela Newsome, Jackson, Ohio and children: Kristopher (Bethany) Newsome, Washington Courthouse, Ohio; April Newsome, Wellston, Ohio and Donnie Newsome, Vinton, Ohio; grandchildren: Sydney, Jayson, Adeline, Caleb and Faith; brother, Kenny (Tina) Newsome, Vinton, Ohio; sisters: Lucy Travis and Marlene Apicella, both of North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son and sister, Betty Jo Comer.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, March 20, 2021 in the Marcum Cemetery, Vinton, Ohio. Friends may call at the cemetery 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday prior to services.

PLEASE NOTE: To respect the safety of the family and in accordance with CDC Regulations and current COVID-19 Pandemic Protocol, face coverings are required, and social distancing is requested in the cemetery during visitation hour and service. We respectfully ask that visitors not linger during the visitation hour or following the service.
