Fred R. Greenlee, 92, Bidwell, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. A long time resident of Gallia County as well as a WW II Army Veteran and a Bronze Star recipient, he retired from the Coca Cola Company in August of 1983. His memberships included the Vinton F&AM Lodge #131, Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, Gallia County Shrine Club and the American Legion.
Fred was born July 28, 1918 at Cadmus, Ohio, son of the late Fred W. Greenlee and Ada May Massie Greenlee. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Quickel Greenlee in 2000, an infant daughter from his first marriage, Shirley Jean Greenlee; brothers, Ernest Greenlee and William F. Greenlee and sisters, Nell Saunders and Millie Mann.
Surviving are two sons: Larry (Julie) Greenlee, Vinton, Ohio and Ronald (Patricia) Greenlee, Mt. Sterling, Ohio; six grandchildren: Steve (Molly) Greenlee, Bidwell, Ohio; Cindy (Chris) Maynard, Bidwell, Ohio; Matthew Greenlee, Mt. Sterling, Ohio; Shay (Michael) Hume, Columbus, Ohio; Noell (Frank Skeens) Greenlee, Ashville, Ohio; Nathan (Amanda Jones) Greenlee, Ashville, Ohio; great-grandchildren: Morgan Greenlee, Dylan Greenlee, Katie Maynard, Kristen Maynard, and Lilly Mae Marie Greenlee; Former Wife, Winifred Greenlee, Vinton, Ohio; sister, Theora "Bobby" Cottrill, Bidwell, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; a former daughter-in-law, Shirley A Greenlee, Bidwell, Ohio and a special friend Helen Shedd, Avon Park, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Vinton, Ohio with Rev. Jack Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Wednesday 11:00 AM-1:00 PM prior to the service.
