Gary Ray Haynes

Gary Ray Haynes, 74, of Vinton, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, in his home following a lengthy illness. Gary was born in Richwood, West Virginia December 24, 1949, to the late Basil and Erma (Sigman) Haynes.

A retired Air Force Master Sargeant following twenty years of service, he also retired from Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. He attended Vinton Baptist Church and spent his time hunting, fishing and loved being outdoors.

Gary married Marsha McClelland Haynes September 2, 1994, in Bidwell, Ohio, who survives with children: Brian (Raina) Haynes and stepdaughters, Jill (Isaac) Saunders and Cara (Corey) Luce. He will be missed by grandchildren: Lila Haynes, Caroline and Luke Saunders, Mac and Wynnie Luce; sister, Karen (Tom) Russell and brother, Randy (Tamra) Haynes; nephew and nieces: Ryan (Jessica) Haynes, Stacey (Andy) Hall, Elisha (Josh) Biland and Kristi (Matt) Riffle; sister-in-law, Terri Haynes and mother-in-law, Gladys McClelland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Larry Haynes and nephew, Matt Haynes.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Friday, December 13, 2024, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio. Full Military Graveside Rites will follow and will be conducted by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail in the Meigs Memory Garden. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.
