Gary L. Lewis

Gary L. Lewis, 78, Vinton, Ohio passed away in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Thursday, July 30, 2015. He was born February 11, 1937 in Scottown, Ohio, son of the late Otis and Bertie Petrie Lewis. He was a retired Rail Road Machinist and U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Proctorville F & AM Lodge #550 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.
Gary is survived by wife, Barbara Burgher Lewis and daughter, Lisa Tranter of Greenville, South Carolina; granddaughter, Trista (Brandon) Black and great-granddaughter, Bailey Black; step-daughter, Michelle (Micah) Stiles, Vinton and step-grandchildren: Jenna, Morgan and Evan.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Lyndell and Arnold Lewis.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2015 in the Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton with Pastor David Greer officiating. Burial will follow. Friends and family may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Monday 12:00 PM-1:00 PM.
