Gayrene "Gay" May, 81, Bidwell, Ohio, passed away July 20, 2014 at home. She was born March 3, 1933 in Pike County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ireland Hunt and Nona Ward Hunt. Gay married Dairl May June 14, 1950 in Williamson, West Virginia, who preceded her in death September 9, 2012.
Gay is survived by six sons: Lawrence May, Roseville, Ohio; Clearance (Chris) May, Bellville, Michigan; Terry (Kelli) May, Bidwell, Ohio; Jerry (Vicki) May, Roseville, Ohio; Dairl May Jr., Vinton County and Dennis Lee (Cindy) May, Carmel, Indiana; two daughters: Patricia (Jim) Lydic, Zanesville, Ohio and Marie (John) Watson, Bidwell, Ohio; five brothers: Jack (Wenda) Hunt, Vinton, Ohio; Troy Hunt, Kimper, Kentucky; Ireland "Junior" Hunt, Bidwell; John (Brenda) Hunt, Buford, Georgia and Staril (Alma) Hunt, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters: Doris (Glenn) Ball, Columbus, Ohio and Brooksie (Bob) Stem, Bidwell; twenty grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene Rollins, one sister and one brother.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday July 24, 2014 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with her brother, Jack Hunt Officiating. Burial will follow in the Hunt Family Cemetery, Bidwell. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 4:00-8:00 PM..
