Genevieve Virginia (Pearson) Williams

Genevieve Virginia "Genny" Williams, 78, Gallipolis, Ohio died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 24, 1939 in Mason County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Wesley and Frances (Whitt) Pearson. She retired from Reliance Electric/Rockwell to spend her days enjoying life with her husband, children and grandchildren. Genny loved life and enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She was and will be remembered as a very loving and graceful soul.

Genny is survived by her loving husband of twenty-seven years, Jerry Monroe Williams; four sons: Charles "Chuck" (Carolyn) Denny, Point Pleasant, West Virginia; Donald (Cindy) Denny, Wellston, Ohio; William "Bill" Denny, Ohio and Sheldon "Matt" (Sunday) Franklin, Cheshire, Ohio; daughter, Anina Denny, Gallipolis, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren: April Bryant, Misty Unroe, Christina Weaver, B.J. Denny, Genny Denny, Melissa Foster, Tiffany Denny, Donald "Bub" Denny, Bruce Christian, Jessica Atkinson, Janessa Simpkins, Chasity Price, Kaeleona Franklin, Shyann Franklin and Cierra Franklin as well as twenty-eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Johnny (Vicky) Pearson, Point Pleasant, West Virginia and four sisters-in-law: Mary Pearson, Sharon Pearson, Bonnie Anderson and Joyce Williams as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters: Anita Kay Denny, Lisa Carol Denny and Stella Marie Franklin; two grandsons: Charles "Bubby" Denny and David Matthew Denny; two sisters, Mae Luckeydoo and Velma Siders; five brothers: Boyd Pearson, Wesley "Junior" Pearson, twin brother Jackie Pearson, Charles "Punky" Pearson and Leo Pearson.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, April 30, 2018 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Will Luckeydoo officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Monday 11:00 AM until the time of service.
