Geraldine Bessie (Morrison) Cordell

Geraldine B. Cordell, 71, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away after a lengthy illness at her residence Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Born February 12, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Carl Morrison and Mildred Howell. Geraldine was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell, Ohio.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (David Stollings) Morrison, Patriot, Ohio and sons: Marvin Dell Morrison and James "Dockie" Morrison, both of Gallipolis, Ohio; four grandchildren: Douglas, Johnna, Joshua and Evett; twelve great-grandchildren and sisters: Polly (Calvin) Minnis and Odessa Morrison, both of Bidwell, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Morrison and son, John David Morrison as well as several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2019 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Rev. Calvin Minnis officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Bethel Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Friday 11:00 AM to the time of service.
