Geraldine "Jeri" (Smith) Yunker

Geraldine "Jeri" Yunker, 70, Jackson, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room, Jackson, Ohio. She was born November 8, 1947 in Hatfield, Kentucky, daughter of the late Paul and Emogene (McGuire) Smith.

Jeri leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters: Debbie (Steve) Shaffer, Patriot, Ohio and Angi (Tony) Cox, Gallipolis, Ohio; grandchildren: Steven (Brittany) Truesdell, Patriot, Ohio; Erica (John) Harless, Oak Hill, Ohio; Devon Shaffer, Patriot, Ohio and Kalib (Kaylee) Shaffer, Miamisburg, Ohio; special family member, James Harless; six great-grandsons: Chase, Connor, Cole, Jake, Cooper and Isaac and her sisters, Rosemary (Bud) Staten, Oak Hill, Ohio and Nicole (Tommy) Yates, Centerville, Ohio as well as a host of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Jeri was preceded in death by two brothers, David Smith and Richard Smith as well as two sisters, Deborah Sue Smith and Marcella Johnson.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday, March 19, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in the Hill Cemetery, Thurman, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Sunday 6:00-8:00 PM.
