Grace Darlene (Jenkins) Whealdon

Grace Darlene Jenkins Whealdon, 78, Patriot, Ohio passed away Saturday June 22, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 11, 1934 at Cheshire, Ohio, daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Bias) Jenkins. She was a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother and family was her world.
Darlene is survived by two daughters and three sons: Sandra (David) Maskew, Vinton, Ohio; Sharon (Vern) Clark, Pocatello, Idaho; Donald (Carolyn) Whealdon, Bidwell, Ohio; Michael Whealdon, Rodney, Ohio and David (Mary) Whealdon Patriot, Ohio; twenty grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: John (Brenda) Jenkins, Indiana; Shirley (Lester) Elkins, Zanesville, Ohio and Linda (Jeff) Brumfield, Bidwell, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Byron Whealdon; son, Richard A. Whealdon; a grandson and a great grandson.
Funeral services were conducted 2:00 PM Thursday June 27, 2013 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with Rev. Chester Hess officiating. Burial followed in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends called at the funeral home Thursday 12:00 Noon until time of service.
