Gregory A. Lafferty

Gregory A. Lafferty, 60, Bidwell, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He was born November 11, 1949 in Williamson, West Virginia, son of Geraldine Crum Adkins of Williamson, West Virginia and the late Walden Adkins.
Gregory married Lori James Lafferty April 24, 1998 in Greenup, Kentucky and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters: Tammy (Mark) Saxton, Covington, Kentucky; Renee (Joe) Gray and Melanie Lafferty, both of Columbus, Ohio; stepson, J.J. Birchfield, Bidwell, Ohio; grandchildren: Kirkland, Sargeant, Pamela, Taylor, Raine, Liam; brother, Eugene (Dot) Lafferty, Otway, Ohio; brother-in-law, Greg (Janice) James, Bidwell, Ohio; sisters-in-law: Raelene Holland, Carol Petty, and mother-in-law, Joanne Bass, all of Bidwell, Ohio.
In addition to his father he was preceded by brother Michael Adkins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Bidwell, Ohio, with Rev. Gene Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis Friday, 5:00-8:00 PM.
