H. Frank Davis

H. Frank Davis Jr., 82, Gallipolis, Ohio (formerly of Springfield, Ohio) passed away at his home Friday, May 7, 2010. He was born February 25, 1928 in Xenia, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Reba Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Charles.
Frank was an Industrial Engineer at International Harvester (Navistar) and retired in 1988. After retirement he was employed by Walmart in Gallipolis as a Greeter. He was a member of the Vinton Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie (Elkins) Davis whom he married June 24, 1989, in Springfield, Ohio, and seven children: F. Steve (Chris) Davis, Willowbrook, Illinios; Shelley (Pat) Garrity, Westerville, Ohio; Scott Davis, Springfield, Ohio; Renee (George) Triantopoulos, Collierville, Tennessee; Candace (Brian) Hopewell, Ocala, Florida; Clarence H. (Julie) Easton and Tina (Michael) Cooper, both of Gallipolis, Ohio. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren: Luke Davis, Dan Davis, Kathleen Garrity, Joe Garrity, Ashley Davis, Charalambos Triantopoulos, Litsa Triantopoulos, Evy Triantopoulos, Alexi Triantopoulos, Whitney Hopewell, Tony Easton, Kaitlyn Easton, Shae Combs, Jeff Combs II, Austin Combs, Josh Cooper, Jordan Cooper and one great-grandchild, Ophelia Cline.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the Vinton Baptist Church, 11818 SR 160, Vinton with Rev. Marvin Sallee and Rev. Chester Hess officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Ridge Cemetery near Cheshire. Pall bearers will be grandsons Dan Davis, Joe Garrity, Jeff Combs II, Austin Combs, Josh Cooper and Tony Easton. Friends may call at the Vinton Baptist Church Monday, 5:00-8:00 PM. Arrangements are by the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel.
