Hannah C. McBride, 95, Bidwell, passed away on August 15, 2005. She was born January 23, 1910 in Confidence (Putnam County), West Virginia to the late Dudley and Tressa Styers Rutan. Hannah was a homemaker who spent most of her life in the Bidwell area.
She is survived by daughters Virginia (Richard) Tipton, Frances (Harold) Hayes, Judy (Scott) Bailey, and Jane (Tony) Werry, all of Gallipolis and Kay (Jackie) Easton, Bowling Green, Kentucky; sons, Jim (Joyce) McBride, Pat (Sherry) McBride of Gallipolis and Mike (Elaine) McBride, Desert Hot Springs, California; one sister, Elizabeth Woodrum, Oberlin, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mabel Tawney, Gallipolis; twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willis McBride; son, William "Bill" McBride; daughter: Eleanor Nolan; brothers: Sherman, Frank, Clyde, Les, Roy Rutan and Jacob (infant); one sister, Hallie (Anthony) Murray, and great grandson, Shawn Henry.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 18 at the Bidwell United Methodist Church with Pastor Alfred Holly officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Bidwell. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Wednesday, August 17 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Pallbearers assisting in the burial will be Chucky McBride, Mike Tipton, Mark Hayes, David Easton, Kevin Werry, Nathan McBride and Heath McBride. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Tipton, Chris Hayes, Shawn Easton, Eric Werry, Rett McBride and Chris Evans.
