Hattie Belle (Harrington) Gothard

Hattie Belle Gothard, 94, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at her residence. She was born September 12, 1917, daughter of the late Ezra Virgil and Elizabeth Ann (Houck) Harrington in Gallia County. She was a member of Mina Chapel Church, Gallipolis.

She is survived by son, William (Mary Lynn) Gothard, Englewood, Ohio; two daughters, Phyllis Jean Stewart, Gallipolis and Karon Carolee (Eugene) McCormick, Pataskola, Ohio; brother, Harold Harrington, Patriot, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Jay (Jan) Gothard, Kevin (Debbie) Gothard, Tammi (Patrick) Davison, Monty (Maggie) McCormick, Lettie (Donald) Swyers, Monica (Brian) West, Jody (Fawn) Stewart, and Kirk Gothard; fourteen great-grandchildren: Amber (Tim) Epling, Alysia Davison, Mariah and Mathew Swyers, Jadelyn Stewart, Dylan and Nicholas Estep, Lowell and William Gothard, Andy and Jessica McCormick, Jeffrey Nugent, Cameron and Cory West; two great-great-granddaughters, Gabrielle and Annabelle Epling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Gothard, August 17, 1990; four sisters, Grace Payne, Marguerite Johnson, Mary Dobbins, Florence Fuller; and three brothers, Elmer, Herb and Charles Harrington.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, November 18, 2011 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Rev. Alfred Holley, officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends and family may call at the funeral home 4:00-6:00 PM Thursday.
