Hattie Melba (Waldroupe) Huss

Hattie Melba Huss, 86, Bidwell, Ohio (formerly of Magalia, California) passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Arbors of Gallipolis. She was born February 11, 1919 in Winfield, Kansas, daughter of the late Harland Eugene Waldroupe and Mary Grace Simons Waldroupe.
She married Harvey Huss August 7, 1936 in Winfield, Kansas and he preceded her in death October 17, 2003. In addition, she was preceded in death by a son, Harvey Robert Huss, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, and a son-in-law, Robert Laywell.
Surviving are a son and a daughter: Raymond Lee (Louise) Huss, Magalia, California and Anita Laywell, Bidwell, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Mary Huss, Salinas, California; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton.
