Hazel B. (Doolittle) Rhodes

Hazel B. Rhodes, 87, Bidwell, Ohio, passed away Saturday October 8, 2005 at Arbors of Gallipolis. She was the former Owner/Operator of the Bidwell Bait and Tackle and was a retired employee of the Gallipolis Developmental Center. She was born May 9, 1918 in Jackson County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Joseph Mint Doolittle and Jemiaha Ester Johnson Doolittle.
She was preceded in death by her husbands William T. Simmons in 1937 and James Rhodes in 1963; brother, John W. Doolittle and two sisters: Pearl L. Garnes and Janie O'Dell Randolph.
Mrs. Rhodes is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Barbara Simmons, Bidwell, Ohio; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and sister, Ruby May Taylor, St. Albans, West Virginia.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday 6:00-8:00 PM.
