Hazert Varney

Hazert Varney, 85, of Vinton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born April 16, 1940, in Pike County, Kentucky, the son of the late Roy and Omey (Ward) Varney.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Loneda Ruth (Johnston) Varney; children, Lesia (Chris) Huffines, Bill (Jennifer) Varney and Vincent Varney; grandchildren: Joeyell Drake, Daniel Varney, Justin Varney, Heather Lascelles, Garrett Lascelles and Loneda Varney; great-grandchildren: Sydney, Damion, Aubrey, Zaleena, Macely, Justin Jr., Journey, Grayson, Xavier, Micheal, Kayson and Maci; several great-great grandchildren; brother, Verlin Varney and sister, Lurlie Varney-Resso.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Rosco, Floyd, Lee and Robert Varney and sisters, Roma Hewlett, Vicie Varney, Creasid Hewlett, Naomi Blackburn, Quellie Esposito and Celia Varney.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 AM Monday, June 16, 2025, in the Vinton Memorial Park. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, is honored to serve the Varney Family.
