Helen E. King, 90, Brentwood, Tennessee (formerly of Gallipolis) passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Williamson Medical Center, Franklin, Tennessee. She was born August 28, 1918 in Gilford County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Rufus Barron and Hazel Whitt Nelson.
She is survived by two daughters and one son: Beth (Bill) Large, Brentwood, Tennessee; J.B. (Tracy) King, Columbus, Ohio and Becky (Jack) Maclean, Reynoldsburg, Ohio; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a sister: Kathleen Pauley, Greensboro, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church, Gallipolis with Dr. Douglas Norfleet and Pastor Bob Powell officiating. Entombment will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis. Friends may call at the church Sunday 1:00-2:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis, Ohio.
