Helen Jean Wagoner

Helen Jean Wagoner, 94, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in Four Winds Nursing Facility, Jackson, Ohio. Helen was born April 6, 1932, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, daughter of the late Sam and Mary (Kinder) Halley. Helen married the love of her life, John Daniel Wagoner, August 25, 1950, at Gallipolis, Ohio, and he precedes her in death October 2, 2004.

Helen leaves behind to cherish her memory her granddaughters, Danielle Bryant, Vinton, Ohio and Callie Bryant, Patriot, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Darian, Makayla and Trevon; great-grandchild, Sekani; nephew, Richard Neal, Gallipolis and sister-in-law, Carma Jean “Nick” Briggs, Patriot, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by daughter, Carla Bryant, son, Jay Dee Wagoner, brother, James Halley and sisters, June Quillen, Wanda Hill and Janet Nibert.

Graveside service will be Thursday, September 3, 2026, in Gallia Baptist Church Cemetery, Patriot, Ohio at 11:00 AM. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, is honored to serve the Wagoner Family.
