Henrietta R. (Wood) Howard

Henrietta R. Howard, 91, Rio Grande, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 at her residence. She was born March 12, 1920 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Luther and Ruth Jones Wood. She attended Rodney United Methodist Church and she is survived by her husband of 65 years, Loren Howard, whom she married in Greenup, Kentucky in November, 1945.
Also surviving are sisters, Lydia Luman, Gallipolis and Norma (James) Slaughter, Biloxi, Mississippi, along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Willis Wood, Phyllis Saunders, and Josephine Elliott.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Pastor Dan Lamphier officiating. Burial will follow in Tyn Rhos Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM.
