Herbert Harding Clark, 89, Gallipolis (formerly of Coal Grove, Ohio) passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. He was born October 24, 1920 in Boyd County, Kentucky, son of the late Eugene and Tillie Kelly Clark. Herb was a self employed Barber in the Coal Grove area for more than twenty years and a WW II U.S. Army Veteran serving in the 101st Airborne Company B during the Normandy Invasion.
He is survived by two sons: Phillip Clark, Denver, Colorado and Mark (Sylvia) Clark, Coal Grove, Ohio; two daughters: Janenne Clark, Coal Grove and Janette (Lloyd) Yates, South Point, Ohio; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Matney Clark and several brothers and sisters.
In accordance with his wishes cremation services will be conducted by the McCoy-Moore Funeral, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio. Disposition services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
