Hilda (Nibert) Quickel

Hilda Nibert Quickel, 91, Cheshire, Ohio went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at her residence. Born December 7, 1922 in Gallia County to the late Riley A. and Elfreda (Williams) Nibert, she married Delmar E. Quickel November 9, 1950 at Gallipolis, Ohio by Rev. Lewis Mickell. Delmar preceded her in death February 22, 2008. Hilda was a graduate of Bidwell-Porter High School and the Southerton Beauty College, she was a member of Gallipolis Order of Eastern Star #283 for 60 years; Deputy Grand Matron in 1969 and past State President of Ohio DeMoley Mothers Club. She was an active member of the Addison Freewill Baptist Church, (Addison) Gallipolis, Ohio and she enjoyed reading, crocheting, bird watching and oil painting.

She is survived by two sons: William "Bill" (Lesa) Quickel, Pomeroy, Ohio and Robert (Hazel) Chrisemer, Gallipolis, Ohio; two step-children: Michael (Beverly) Quickel, Waverly, Tennessee and Donna (Bill) Smith, Tampa, Florida; granddaughters, Lee Ann Kingery and Amy Chrisemer, both of Rio Grande, Ohio; step-grandchildren: Lori, Chuck, Jonathon, J.R. and Michael; five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lillian Nibert, Gallipolis, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and special friends: Rosie, June, Harvey, Bill, Kenny and Paula.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, November 15, 2014 in the Addison Freewill Baptist Church, 261 Addison Pike, (Addison) Gallipolis, Ohio with Rev. Richard Barcus officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire. Friends and family may call at the church Saturday 10:00-11:00 AM and Friday, November 14, 2014 4:00-8:00 PM.
