Hobert Edsel Durham, 72, Jackson, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 9, 1943 in Clay County, West Virginia, son of the late Hobert Otis and Marion (Lawhorn) Durham. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Wilkesville American Legion Post 476. He married Joyce Manley Durham March 16, 1985 at Parisburgh, Virginia, who survives.
Surviving also are children: Edsel Franklin (Ruth) Durham, Douglas Edward (Karen) Durham and Steven Randall Durham; step-children: Roberta Durham, Christopher George and Angela (Scott) Hunt; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; brother, Theron (Sharon) Durham and sisters: Dolly (Hobert) Cook, Deloris Groves and Sandra Faye (Frank) Moffatt as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the Winchester Community Church, near Jackson, Ohio with Rev. Randall Walker, officiating. Burial will follow in the Winchester Community Church Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the church Saturday 11:00 AM to the time of service.
