Homer J. Hannan, 66, Gallipolis, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. He was born April 9, 1939 in Mason County, West Virginia, son of the late Jess and Catherine Bailes Hannan. Homer was a United States Navy Veteran and a 35 year member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #107, Gallipolis, where he served as Exalted Ruler in 1996-1997. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Pierotti Hannan, whom he married February 19, 1982 in Gallipolis, Ohio.
He is also survived by two sons: Jack (Tammy) Hannan and children, Daniel, Holly, Kyle and Ryan, Racine, Ohio and James Hannan, Pomeroy, Ohio; daughter: Jill (Matt) Hall and children, Jessie and Alisha, Pleasantville, Ohio; stepdaughter, Kim (Larry) Beaver and children, Dean, Brad, and Brandi, Gallipolis; stepson, Steve Russell and children, Zach, Chad, and Melea, Columbus, Ohio; stepdaughter, Vicki (Scott) Mash and children, Kruize, Alison, and Scott, Bidwell, Ohio and stepdaughter, Danise (Steve) Davies and children, McGuiness and Malley, Gallipolis; and sister, Emily (Bill) Blosser, Pleasantville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Hannan.
Elks Memorial services will be conducted by the Past Exalted Rulers of Gallipolis Elks Lodge #107 at 8:00 PM Friday, March 3, 2006. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave, Gallipolis Friday, March 3, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
