Icy Ann (Johnson) Ashburn

Icy Ann Ashburn, 85, Langsville, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, February 25, 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of Addison Freewill Baptist Church in Addison, Ohio. Icy was born October 21, 1924 in Floyd County, Kentucky, daughter of the late William Pheroah and Melvina Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lloyd Ashburn; one son, Larry Dale Ashburn; two grandsons, Terry Dale Ashburn and Danny James Ashburn, Jr.; one brother, Estil Johnson; and two sisters, Pricey Tackett and Allie Hill.
Surviving are four sons: Lanny Darrel "Bo" (Sheila) Ashburn, Port St. Luce, Florida; Danny James (Nancy) Ashburn, Bell, Florida; Gregory Dean (Donna) Ashburn, Smithfield, Pennsylvania; Ricky Dwayne (Rita) Ashburn, Newark, Ohio; three daughters, Patricia Ann (Jerry) Troino, Palm Coast, Florida; Sheila Kay (Robbie) Lynch, Palm Coast, Florida and Linda Sue (Matt) Smith, Gallipolis, Ohio; twenty-five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren; one brother, Chester (Margaret)Johnson and one sister, Vicey Hamby, both of Langsville, Ohio; and daughter-in-law, Betty Ashburn, Ewington, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Richard Barcus officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 PM.
