J. C. Justus

J.C. Justus, 82, Vinton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at his residence. He was born April 17, 1929 in Blackie, Virginia, son of the late Melvin and Carrie Cline Justus. He was a retired coal miner and farmer. J.C. attended Morgan Center Holiness Church, Vinton. He also loved spending time with his friends at McCoy's One Stop in Vinton and the Korner Store in Bidwell.

He is survived by five sons and two daughters: David (Debbie) Justus, Vinton; Larry (Kathy) Justus, Kansas City, Missouri; Donald (Paula) Justus, Vinton; Michael Justus, Vinton; Ronald (Tina) Justus, Vinton; Suzette (Fiance, Ray) Huber, DeLand, Florida; Nanette Justus, DeLand, Florida; eight grandchildren: Adam, Scott, Tonya, Sheree, Kari, Colt, Kyle and Jordan; twelve great-grandchildren and special nieces and nephews: Tena, Donnie, Dorothy, Jewell, Jackie and Johnny; and a special friend, Pauline McCoy, Vinton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Justus on December 19, 1997, three brothers and nine sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, January 31, 2011 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Rev. Ted Russell officiating. Entombment will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis. Friends and Family may call at the funeral home Friday, January 30 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
