Jack C. Layne

Jack C. Layne, 80, Point Pleasant, West Virginia passed away at his home Friday, July 23, 2021. Born January 10, 1941 in Gallia County, Ohio he was the son of the late Granville Francis and Myrtle Etta (Barcus) Layne. A United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict, he married Virginia (Kuhn) Layne November 7, 1959 in Gallia County, Ohio, and she survives.

Also surviving are their children: Richard (Beverly) Layne, Circleville, Ohio; Tim (Debbie) Layne, Gallipolis, Ohio; Dwayne (Janelle) Layne, Point Pleasant, West Virginia and Pamela Chapman, also of Point Pleasant; eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren and his siblings: Rex Layne, Columbus, Ohio; Janice Cope, Columbus; Judy Barker, Texas; Karen (Randy) Hawkins, Columbus and Kathy (Bert) Bailey, Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Layne.

In accordance with Jack's wishes, there will be no services. Cremation service is under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio.
