James Edward Duffy

James Edward Duffy, 72, Wilkesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 17, 2006 in Holzer Senior Care, Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born November 25, 1933 in Wilkesville, son of the late Andrew and Hazel Booth Duffy. A Graduate of Wilkesville High School, he was a U.S. Army Veteran and had worked at Banquet Foods, Wellston, and Wells Orchard, Wilkesville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Emerson Duffy and a sister, Catherine Colwell.
Surviving are one brother and one sister, David (Erma) Duffy, Columbus, Ohio and Mary (Charles) Withee, Rio Grande; sisters-in-law, Lura Duffy, Wellston and Laura Duffy, Reynoldsburg, Ohio as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with Rev. Alfred Holley and Bob Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Center Cemetery. Military Graveside service will be conducted by the Joseph Freeman American Legion Post 476, Wilkesville. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 6:00-8:00 PM.
