James Phillip Gilbert

James Phillip Gilbert, 46, Vinton, Ohio went to be with the Lord at his residence with his family near his side on Saturday, November 4, 2006. He was owner/operator of the Gilbert Trucking, Vinton, and in addition contracted for Kokosing Inc., Columbus.

James was born January 26, 1960 in Gallipolis, son of Goldie Deel Gilbert who survives and resides in Vinton, and the late James Homer Gilbert Sr. He married Jerri Ellen Spencer April 26, 1979 in Vinton, and she survives with three children: Tamme E. (Steven) Koebel, Vinton, Ohio; Christopher P. (Jennifer Giles) Gilbert, Vinton, Ohio and Amber N. Gilbert, Vinton, Ohio; grandchildren: Zackary Matthew and Nickalas James Koebel; five brothers and one sister: Donnie (Tenna) Gilbert, Rio Grande, Ohio; Larry (Diane) Gilbert, Vinton, Ohio; Gary Gilbert, Vinton, Ohio; James H. (Kimberly) Gilbert Jr. Vinton, Ohio; Rick Gilbert, Vinton, Ohio and Wilma Gilbert, Vinton, Ohio; a special uncle and friend, Brady Gilbert, Cheshire, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Harvest Time Worship Center Church, Main Street, Vinton with Rev. Denver McCarty officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Ridge Cemetery near Cheshire. Friends may call at the Harvest Time Worship Center Church Tuesday 2:00-8:00 PM.
